Las Vegas, Software University Day 2
Day 2 started very early again for me, with a 6am rise, walk to the back of the MGM Grand Convention Center for breakfast, then board a bus for the Venetian where we started the day with a session for Lotus Asia Pacific. For the rest of the day, it was into our “Software Technical Exchange”, a series of technical seminars on various topics (we got to choose topics of interest from up to 255 concurrent sessions across all of Software Group).
The sessions finished at 5:45pm, at which time, I walked up to the Bellagio Fountain to meet Leanne, who walked down from our hotel room at NYNY. Unfortunately, due to high wind, they cancelled the next show at the fountain, so we decided to just walk on and find something to eat. We walked through the Bellagio and then on to Ceasars Palace, where we eventually got to the Forum Shops, in time to see the Legend of Atlantis sound, light and animatronics show. We had dinner at The Cheesecake Shop there, before walking back down the strip to our hotel.
Earlier in the day, Leanne had been down to Mandalay Bay to see the Shark Reef aquarium, to the Luxor to see the King Tut Museum and back up to Tropicana to see The Casino Legends Hall of Fame museum.
