I’ve made some changes to my blog – a bit of a tidy-up of the sidebar over on the right, and I’ve moved the links and archives to separate pages – Links … Archives, and I’ve also set up an About page with some of the other information such as the “now playing”, “plazes” and “plugins in use” lists.
Especially check out the archives – it has now got the search form, the list of categories (with post counts), a funky new tag cloud, and a complete list of previous posts, grouped by month and with comment counts shown. Works pretty well I think.
Speaking of tags – I’ve started tagging my posts – I figure more meta information is useful, since context can really help to manage information overload. I’m keeping my tags to a fairly minimal set, and you can see the full list in the tag cloud on the archives page. The tag cloud lists the tags in alphabetical order, but uses a darker and larger font to indicate tags which are more frequently used than others – makes a good visual overview. Clicking on a tag name shows the posts that include that tag.
