Hotel reviews

Thursday 21st August, 2003 1 Comment

I’ve had a few people ask me why I rate the hotels I stay in.

This is mostly as a result of having difficulty judging which hotels are actually any good based on the descriptions on the web and our corporate database. I’m hoping that I can supply my colleagues at work who may not travel quite so much with some reasonable information about my views on the hotels we frequent.

That, and I’m an opinionated git :D

I’m thinking through my rating mechanisms at the moment and trying to come up with a more objective ranking system. It will be based on my subjective analysis of what’s important naturally, but I’ll try and come up with a consistent set of criteria and measure each hotel the same way. This will most likely be biased towards hotels which offer Weetbix and broadband access.

Thought you should see this entry on broadband in US hotel rooms. Adds some perspective
