Travel approved

Finally we have the go-ahead to travel to Colombia. Andres has passed all his medical checks and his visa has been approved pending final documentation from Colombia.

We have an appointment on the 18th May at the orphanage to collect Andres and I think another meeting or two the day after – and then we wait. We expect to be in Colombia until mid to late June.

It’s a bit of a rush now – lots of things to get done, most important is booking the flights – lots of other stuff is dependent on that information, including hotel bookings, visa applications (we’re doing “business”, not visiting as tourists), travel insurance, etc.

Of course we have the last of our packing to get done – although we are mostly done there already, have been for over a week now.

Current plan is to fly out next Wednesday to Buenos Aires, and then on to Bogota and then Cali on the Saturday ready for our appointment on Monday.

Getting very exciting now.
