Went and saw the Lord of the Rings exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney on the weekend – fascinating, and quite awe inspiring when you understand more about the work that went into creating the movies.
The costumes were fantastic, and the models and miniatures used in filming were simply amazing.
Well worth the effort.
I suggest you check the museum website before you go – they have two viewing sessions (before 1pm and after 1pm), so you want to plan your day a bit carefully. We bought our tickets online, which allowed us to bypass the queues – saved a heap of time. The exhibition is on until the end of March – so still plenty of time to get to see it.
