I’m off travelling again – this time to the US for 5 weeks on a working holiday.
Have two conferences to attend for work – one in Las Vegas and the other in Orlando … will be holidaying before, during, and after these events. My wife is travelling with me and will be keeping herself amused while I’m working – something I don’t think she’ll have any trouble with.
I intend to keep a daily diary of our activities – but I won’t get online every day to post – so sometimes I might have to wait a couple of days and post several updates at once.
We have lots of 35mm film for the SLR and the digital camera (with lots of spare drive space on the laptop !) – so hopefully will get lots of photos to upload to the gallery. Speaking of which, I might spend some of my flight time preparing photos from earlier trips to upload – I’ve been a bit slack this year with the updates … have several hundred photos to go through and upload !
Our flight has been delayed by about 90 minutes, so I’ve had time to do some email and other web stuff – oh, and raid the club lounge buffet and fridge too :D
It’s been a busy couple of days since Christmas – filling in all the details in our itinerary … all the flights, cars and hotels have been booked for over a month – but we still had to decide on where we will be going and what we will be doing in all the places we will be – lots of research to do.
I think the final tally is going to be 11 hotels, 7 cities, 4 flights, 3 cars. Every single one of them booked online too !!
Oh well – I’ll update you on how we are going sometime in the next day or so. First stop Santa Monica (LA) – we’ll be there until New Year’s day.
