Whenever I teach at a training facility somewhere, I like to look at the titles of the other classes that are on – some of them sound quite interesting and make me wonder what they are about.
Last week while in Melbourne, there were the following classes on:
[b]ASIC Enforcement Induction[/b] – I didn’t see the attendees, but I wonder if they were wearing black suits and dark sunglasses, and packing a 9mm in a hidden holster ? The enforcers. hmm.
[b]Genesys Training[/b] – are these guys creating some type of doomsday device or some type of miracle planet regeneration machine ? Perhaps some theological studies ? Actually I think they were learning how to program a PABX. I might be wrong there.
[b]Sun Cluster Admin[/b] – a bunch of galactic bureaucrats ? Learning how to manage a star cluster ? mmm.
[b]ThreeSixty Client Services Training[/b] – either skateboard sales rep training, or training for the terminally inefficient, who keep going round and around and around…
[b]Industrial Strength .Net[/b] – professional fisherman tools sales training ?
[b]Hacking Windows Masterclass[/b] – either a senior trademan’s eductation session about glazing, or a criminal bootcamp ?
[b]Fast Track to Cold Fusion[/b] – a bunch of nuclear physicists playing with particle accelerators ?
and finally…
[b]WebSphere STEW[/b] – Either someone making some really funky meals out of balls of spider spew, or else a hands on sales and technical enablement workshop teaching the finer points of administration and management for web based portal systems. Naaaah – nobody would be interested in portal systems – must have been the other one !
I might make a hobby out of this – I’ll be sure to make notes next time I’m at a training centre and see what other “interesting” things are being taught.
