prat

I’m disappointed … Dictionary.com does not have an entry for the word ‘prat’ in it (other than an American slang reference for “the buttocks”).

My trusty copy of the Australian Concise Oxford Dictionary gets it right:

prat n. colloq a silly or foolish person

I suspect you may need to pay for Dictionary.com’s premium service to get access to some real dictionaries ! *sigh*
