Hi Colin,

We were always planning to travel from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia by boat - that had been booked months previously. The question was going to be how we got from El Calafate to Punta Arenas. Since we had already come through Puerto Natales, we thought we might go to Punta Arenas a different way - but in the end we decided to go back via Puerto Natales.

If we did the trip again, we would have spent more time in El Calafate, and perhaps have gone to El Chalten as well, and spent less time in Punta Arenas.

Hi
Read about your travels with interest. What made you go to punta arenas and then on to Ushuaia by boat? At one point you were thinking of going to Rio Gallegos from El Calafate.
Regards
