Bit of a late start today after such a tiring day yesterday. A bit of late noise from the other hostel guests, but surprisingly little noise from outside - it’s nice to be in a small town rather than a large city (or noisy tourist trap).

Early start this morning - up at 5:30am ready for our 6:50am taxi to the Terminal de Autobus (bus terminal), where we joined the Cruce de Lagos tour across the Andes to Puerto Varas.

Just a quick update - we made our bus on time out of Bariloche (7:30am at the Bus Terminal), and have just finished a wonderful cruise on lake Nahuel Huapi. We are now waiting for our bus to take us through the mountains to another lake, which we will also cross by boat, before continuing [...]

Well today was a complete write-off, we both spent the day at the hostel suffering from what my sister so eloquently terms “squirty bum”. We cooked dinner in the hostel kitchen last night - perhaps it wasn’t as clean as we expected?

Woke up fairly early this morning - before 8am - got up and showered. It had been a restless night … too much noise from outside the open window. At least the morning air was much cooler.
